Our Classes

  • Classes range from 40 minutes to 90 minutes
  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes early if it is your first time or 10 minutes early if you have been before.
  • All classes are considered beginner and all ages, sexes, and levels of ability are welcome.
  • Classes consist of varying postures at varying heat levels.  Although we are a "Hot" studio do not be fooled we offer a variety of classes and many are at room temperature.
  • Yoga is about stretching the muscles as well as massaging and stimulating all the organs, glands, and systems of your body and restoring them to healthy working order, just as nature intended.
  • Try to stay in the room once the class has begun.  There are multiple reasons for this but the main one is so that the teacher can take care of you.  No matter what happens in the class, the teacher is there to get you through it.
  • The only items you need in the room are your yoga mat, towel, water, and an open mind.
  • Hatha yoga is considered a wide eyed silent moving meditation.  We ask that once in the hot room it is a silent time for people to reconnect with themselves and any conversations should be left outside the room.
  • We strongly recommend reserving classes online.  However please note that if you are not able to attend the class you must cancel at least two hours prior to the class time starting or this will result in either a loss of a class on your class card or a single drop-in fee of $20 if you are an unlimited member.

 

26 & 2

Running 90 minutes this class will work every muscle, organ and joint of your entire body.  This style of yoga is a set series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises which means after your first class you know exactly what to expect.  Sitting down or lying in Savasana is always an option in the class - just remember to take it slow and do the best you can.  This class is great for all levels of ability.

Moksha Ins.

This series of postures was originally designed from the 26 & 2 series and then combined with a flow sequence.  This class will bring all of your other yang styles together while challenging you in new and exciting ways.  This class is for all levels of ability with the 60 minute class done with music.

Power Vinyasa Flow

An invigorating practice that will challenge, build strength and core stability, and stretch your body. Within this practice there are modifications and variations. The yoga sequence includes sun salutations, standing, seated, balancing and twisting poses, and will include fun arm balances and inversions. Get ready to have fun, play with your edges, and discover your full potential!

Yang & Yin (60/30)

This class is about combining two of our already amazing classes into a 75 or 90 minutes session.  Spend the first 50-60 minutes doing your Power Vinyasa Flow Class and spend the 25-30 minutes remaining cooling down and opening up with our Yin Class.  It is truly an experience you do not want to miss!

Ashtanga Flow

This is a physical form of yoga which synchronizes breath and movement through a precise series of movements called the Primary Series.  This class is done in a warm to hot room where the teacher will guide you through your practice.  Did you know that the traditional way to practice Ashtanga was when you got to a posture you could not perform you had to leave the class????  Don't worry at our studio all we ask if that you try and do the best you can and have a great time doing it!

Vinyasa Flow

Coming from a flow series background this class focuses primarily on the lower half of the body and to stabalize the core.  It will allow you to explore some deeper hip opening poses as well as a couple longer holds. Don't be surprised if you use blocks or straps in this class from time to time!!

Core

This is a great high energy class that focuses on core strength.  Making sure the glutes, back and abs are all being used simultaneously to create a fun and effective class for all levels.  Working at your own pace with a set series of 30 seconds of work and 30 seconds of rest for an entire 60 minute class will surely make sure you feel it tomorrow!

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.

Suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

Restorative Yoga

This is a slow and nourishing practice which allows you to give into your body weight and gravity fully.  It is a deeply relaxing practice which allows your body to completely relax while holding poses from 5 to 10 minutes at a time with the support of props such as bolsters, blocks and straps.  This class is recommended for everyone!

Barre Body Fitness

The original, this one hour workout will tone and challenge all levels of fitness.  This class tones and strenghtens through a series of strategic exercises that focuses on flexibilty and strength while incorporating ballet barre.  The routine keeps fitness fresh with innovative moves complementary to all levels of fitness.

40 Minute Lunch Class

From 12:10pm - 12:50pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays this class will be either a Vinyasa Flow or Yin class. Come spend your lunch hour destressing and enjoying a calm environment.  Your work days will not seem as long when you can come and seperate yourself from your work for a few minutes.

$10 drop in for the class or current members can use their current memberships as well.

Yoga Nidra & Music Meditation

This 75 minute class is done in a warm candlelit room. Suitable for all, it is a great complement to other forms of yoga and exercise. Please bring a yoga mat, a blanket and a small pillow. Yoga Nidra means Yogic sleep and in this deep meditative practice you will work on letting go of limiting beliefs and behavioral patterns. The practice is beautifully combined with very carefully selected music to enhance your experience.

Fusion

A class designed for you by Pauline, Fusion is a blend between the specific postures of the 26&2 class and the variations of these postures often found in some of the flow classes offered at the studio. As in the 26&2 series, each posture is done twice, but the difference here is that the second set will not be the same as the first set - it will be a variation of, or progression into, another pose. This class style is a great way to learn how to transition between the 26&2 class and the flow classes. All practictioners are welcome!

Shauna's Hatha

This is a foundation Hatha class that uses postures and conscious breathing in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, physical endurance, flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions in the body, Hatha yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner.

Pre-registration Classes

These classes are pre-registration only.  They are generally done in our smaller non heated room and with a maximum capacity.  If interested in any on the following classes please contact the studio for when the next set of sessions will be running.

Kids Yoga

Kids Classes are in our non-heated room and are offered at the same time as our Yang & Yin class so that you can come to do your yoga at the same time as your kids!  

Cost is $90.00 + GST for 8 classes or $45 + GST for 4 classes, which includes a mat rental as well.  If you are not able to register but would like to bring your child in for a drop-in, as long as we have space in the class, the drop-in fee is $14.00 plus GST.

If you would like to sign your child up please contact the studio at 403-328-8877 and we would gladly register your child.  There are only 10 spots per class so please register early as these classes tend to fill up fast! Please call the studio if you have any questions.

Registration for our next Kids Yoga Session is open! It will run from September 11th to October 5th , every Monday & Wednesday at 5.45 - 6.45pm. 

We also have great incentives if you would like to register more than one child - 25% off for the second child and 50% off for the third child!

Pre- & Post natal Yoga

Based off of the Bikram Series or a Hatha Yoga Series this class has been modified for pregnant women at any stage or mothers getting back into yoga after delivery.

Stabalizing the legs to make sure the hips stay open and flexible is key to this class and strenghtening the pelvic floor

Moving at your own pace in a small comfortable setting is our priority.

Cost for these classes are $18 to drop-in or $15 if booking multiple sessions. Only $60 for all 4 sessions!

No yoga experience necessary and this class can be done all the way up until you have your baby!

Our next Prenatal class session will run on Tuesdays at 5.30pm-6.30pm from September 12th to October 3rd. Drop-ins are welcome!

Mom/Dad & Tot Yoga

This class is non-heated and will be done in our our big room on Sunday afternoons.  Classes will be one hour where Mom or Dad can come with their Tot to enjoy a fun yoga class.  Space is limited so if interested please contact us today!

Mom & Baby Barre

This is done in a non-heated room and please feel free to bring any toys, blankets or anything else that will make the baby feel more comfortable as well as a baby carrier or sling.  This is about time for you to bond and do something fun and different with your babies so please feel comfortable to bring what you need!  This is for Moms and their babies who are not yet walking.  

Cost for these 5 classes are $75 + G.S.T.  Drop-ins are $18.
